I've been asked to add some instruction to the forum. Yes, the process of photo posting is not as obvious as I would like, mainly due to the fact that the text is so small and subtle. Well, once you've begun to write a message please note the small brown line of text immediately below the message box. It will be on your left-hand side. It is labeled "Add image to post". I had to search for it longer than I would like to admit. Click on "Add image to post" and it should bring up a small window or pop-up. You may have to disable your pop-up blocker. However, it probably will work all right with the blocker on in your browser. In the smaller field that has appeared, click on the browse button and find the file on your computer's hard drive and select it, next Click "Upload it". Please note the supported formats (.gif, .jpg, .png, .bmp) and your maximum allowed size per file, 2 mega bytes. I suggest shrinking digital photos to at least 9" x 7" and 100 - 250 kilobytes or about (650 x 500 pixels) for easier viewing.

Hi Rex
There is another way that you can get the photos up so that they become as part of you post and in full size as well
use a free web server for your Pictures / Images so all you need to do is add a link to you post and up comes the pic / img as soon as you open the post
Firstly what server to use ...there are lots of them find one that suits your needs and go from there. I use photobucket http://photobucket.com/ once you have signed up for free you are now ready to use it to make your post look like as if you were posting a picture in the other Forum MSN and the like
once you have uploaded your picture your set and all that you need to do is this, when you create a post and you would like a picture for all to see as soon as they open your post just click on the insert image tab , here it will ask you the http;// link .........in here you paste your link or you can simply drag the picture from photobucket into the post that you are writing and there you have it add all the images that you like as they will be resized to around 50bites small enough for the slowest of ISP speed
this was a ring found here in Australia by one of our forum member while he was looking for color
Thanks Martin

Martin,
I was actually thinking of using photobucket, we already are using a free photoserver, from what I could tell using photoserver would be more complicated and it would not be an actual part of the forum. I would imagine that this is how you have placed your photos on the forum and I do invite anyone to do the same if they like, even though I don't think there is a way for me to place a button or text that would be an internal upload button linking to photobucket.

Rex
I think the only other way would be if you opened a new photobucket and set
a password for all to use
then you maybe able to use it in a one clik but you would have to go into the admin settings there maybe something that would do this I have not had a good look at our forum
on the other hand is it worth all the hassels

jimini,
There is some brown text directly below (on the left hand side) the space where you write. The text reads, "Attach File" Click it. _________________ If first you don't succeed... |
