Hi fellow prospectors,
New to this forum. Have been GPAA members since Sept. 2008
The week after Easter we are going to Nevada ( Live in Calif)
We are going to prospect in GPAA claims , Lucky Rose near Lovelock, Nv.
Also the Temple -1 claim up by Rye Patch..
Is the Rye Patch ( Majuba Placer area) open to public.? Is there a certain area we cannot prospect.?? Been looking for a map..!!!!!!!!!!
Never hunted gold in Nevada before.
Any help or info on any of the above would surely be appreciated.!

Are you detecting or dry washing? If detecting, forget about the GPAA claims and stick with Rye Patch. There are claims at the north and south end but to my knowledge they don't mind the casual detectorist. Lots of ground in the middle to detect. Stick that coil under and around the sagebrush. That's going to be your best chance of finding something there. It's been hunted hard for years.
