Hi, glad to meet ya.
I have meet Reno Chris and read a lot of his very informative post. I just thought I would bug him first.
I was just thinking about adding general info for all users.
To post a picture.>> At the bottom of the writing area when you are posting is "Add image to post" in tan brown letters. Just click it, and then its fairly easy. _________________ Everett |

Hi Dirty Steve,
Thanks for the help on posting pictures. This is just one of the Knives I build out of stone. The blade is Piute Agate and the handle is Onyx. If members would like to see more of my work just let me know and I will post more. I have lots to share here.
I sold this one and should have kept it,but it's hard to pass up 200 bucks when I can make another one. I have a flintknapping site, but closed it for awhile because it was turning into a JOB. |

Everett!
Great to hear from you again!
Hey sorry for the slow reply I've been out prospecting for 4 days (and getting skunked) in Northern California - Just got back into town.
What do you want to know?
So How does Everett become "Dirty Steve" ?

Hi Chris,
Everett Stephen McLaughlin
I first started out on Bill & Chris G. forums as Everett when I signed up. I really go by Steve. But everyone got to calling me Everett so it kind of stuck.
Dirty Steve is a nick name I picked up many years ago working construction as a foreman. There was an old Mexican guy that always preached at me because about every third word I said was a cuss word. He said I had a dirty mouth and got to calling me Dirty Steve, then everyone picked it up.
5 years in a military academy, then 3 years in the Marines, then 33 years in construction.
Yeah, I can cuss up a storm.
What I wanted to ask was can you show some of the gems and stuff you have to get the "Gem" area going. I thought you had posted on your site or somewhere some of the fancy rocks you had found.
How is your dad doing. I often remember drinking his coffee on those cold mornings at the dam camp area. _________________ Everett |
