Big Heavy Stone

Sorry not a NV specimen...Here's a sort of fancy stone I'm kind of proud of, I recently got this at what is probably a fairly reasonable price, only 75 bucks. The seller said they got this type of stone imported from Namibia and that it was rather difficult to get it into the country (ok they used some colorful words). It looks like some ruby covered with fuschite that has been coming out of India lately. It's large though like the Karnataka stuff but not as clean and nice. I'm still working to clear off the mica schist material on at least one end. Weight? 1530 carats. hmm It's a ruby specimen.
