Connector source?Does anyone know a source for these 5 pin connectors? I've searched the net but can't find these exact connectors. I need both female and male ends.
Thanks,
Brian

Brian it looks a lot like a CB microphone connector like here:

Wes,
Thanks for the link, that looks like the right style connector. I'm going to make a custom lithium battery to mount on the detector.

Yep,
The 5-pin CB connectors plugs work just fine, they fit perfectly and appear to be exactly the same compenent used on the Minelabs, but now that I look at it the gpx-4000 5-pin hookup holes look spaced a little differently than the previous GP models, maybe it's just the photo?!

battery packRex,
The 5 pin for the battery looks like it's slightly smaller than the one they use for the coil. I've ordered a couple of different styles so hopefully one of them will work. I'm still having trouble finding the female panel mount jack. I'm thinking of using a short piece of cable with a gland instead - similar to the amps that velcro to the side of the detector. That would be easier than making a short cord with connectors on both ends anyways.
If you run across a source for the female jacks let me know, I still plan on making a couple of spare packs similar to the minelab unit and would like to be able to use the stock cord.
Regards,
Brian
