new comerWOW! do I feel stupid.My first time ever posting and I screwed it up!! Anyway I just joined and want to say hello to everyone.You guys share lots of info,hope I can do the same.I was out at rye the other day,got skunked! I run a gm4b does anyone know how to get more depth out of it?Thanks.

Welcome radarranndy, I hadn't noticed that you screwed anything up. Well, about depth, you can always rake off a half foot to test an area where you suspect more gold lurking at depth. It's kind of impractical for large areas though and probably best suited to small washes where you know nuggets have been found before in a fairly specific/localized area. I don't have experience with that detector although some may know more.
