show abt. sunstones etc on travel channel

I anyone gets the travel channel they have something on about sunstones and mining them.

Yea, I saw that show and did a little follow up. The sunstone is a feldspar with a trace of copper and the red come because the copper is in a reduction form. Green is oxidized. From the several sites I have found, low grade is $.10-.25/ct and high grade is $3.00/ct.
If I keep this up I'll talk myself into a trip this summer.
Bet there might be some in the gem show this month
