Johnnyscotti,
I use a small electronic one and made sure it weighed with accuracy to 0.01 grams. It doubles as a machine to weigh gemstones to the tenth of a carat. It's modes include pennyweights, carats, grams, and grains. It's maximum capacity is 100 grams, so I use a larger electronic post office or letter scale for larger items.
