Eldorado,

Probably wouldn't hurt to beep around there as well, sounds like the geology is similar to Rye Patch.

El Dorado,

I'll probably make it there at least once during springtime. I would be interested in coordinates. I can't hurt to try to run a detector over the area. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Rex

Crystal John or Peg leg John as I know him is up there now digging away. When I left he was digging some huge ones. He showed us one over 1 foot long he said was worth $3000 and many you couldn't get your whole hand around.
If anybody was interested in buying them dirt cheap to sale later and don't have the time or inclination to dig he is the way to go. He is quite the character and could always use the money.

There doesn't seem to be a spell checker here.

Fast Randy,

I agree, Crystal John has a nice collection and is always adding to it and selling his current stock at a very reasonable price. I picked up quite a few nice ones from him last year. I picked up one fat one that is 3" wide.

On the spell checker, the closest we have to it is to notice if your words are underlined in red while writing, those are misspelled, unfortunately you'll have to go somewhere like dictionary.com to get the correct spelling.

Or you could use firefox which has a built in spell checker. I will have to check out crystal John the next time I head out to ryepatch.
